Release Notes - August 22, 2023
We're pleased to share enhancements we’re making to the RT4 Booking Engine and Call Center. This release is scheduled to be deployed to U.S. and EMEA customers on August 23, 2023, and to our customers in Asia, the Boyd and Venetian instances on August 30, 2023. Minimal downtime is expected.
RT4 Booking Engine - Alternative Policies
The Alternative Smart Policy feature allows you to offer alternatives to the general cancellation policies. Hotels can add up to two alternative policies for guests to choose from. For example, you can give a guest an alternative policy that offers two options: get a discounted price for an early-bird reservation that is non-cancellable or choose a premium rate plan that allows for cancellation up to three hours before check-in time.
Create and configure this under Smart Polices > Alternate Policies.

RT4 Call Center Enhancements
Multi-Property Display
The multi-property display will now show the lowest room rates available by property on selected dates, improving the workflow efficiency for call center agents.
Company Profile
You will now be able to enter company names and company profile IDs on the Rate Plan edit page. The CRS will send them to the PMS when a reservation is made in the Call Center. The company profile ID will also display in the Call Center for the agent to view and edit. These fields are not conditional by PMS – if the PMS has the attribute, the CRS will send it to the correct attribute in the PMS. Otherwise, it will be sent to the PMS as a comment. Once deployed, this feature will be enabled; no additional steps are needed.
A reservation can only be associated with one company profile. When a reservation is a combination of multiple rate plans, the company profile will default to the one in the first date’s rate plan.
Billing Profile
You will now be able to enter a billing profile code on the Rate Plan edit page. The CRS will send it to the PMS when a reservation is made in the Call Center. The billing profile code will also display in the Call Center for the agent to view and edit.
To utilize this feature, ensure the billing profile code is enabled on the Call Center here: Property Management > Edit, and here: Property Management > Defaults.
