Release Notes - September 18, 2023
We're rolling out some exciting new updates this week, including the option for you to enable two different, alternate email template editors in addition to the Studio Editor! Think of the freedom to choose, the flexibility, and convenience this offers your entire team. Want to know more about these two alternate editors? Well, you're in luck because we can't wait to introduce (or reintroduce) them to you right now.
Did that comment about reintroducing the editors catch your interest? 🕵️
Drum roll, please.
The two additional editors will be familiar to our long-standing customers since we're bringing back the Classic Drag & Drop and Custom Code editors of days past. Why would we bring back retired editors? Because some of you missed their unique functionality so much, we thought, hey, let's allow our customers to choose which editor they want to use for each template they create. 💡
- Want to quickly add elements into a simple template that offers basic customizations without the need for dynamic content? Check out the Classic Drag & Drop editor.🖱️
- Want to build a template using drag & drop content blocks that incorporates dynamic content, can accommodate minor HTML coding, and requires medium-level coding skills? Stick with the Studio Editor. 🙂
- Are you HTML savvy and itching to create a highly bespoke template with your incredible HTML coding prowess, or simply want to import existing HTML code into a new template and perhaps customize it further? The Custom Code editor will be your jam. 😍
Wondering how eInsight CRM will fit three template editors into one platform? Simply and elegantly, that's how.
When you're ready to create a new template, you'll pick the best editor for the job at hand, free your creative genius and design a captivating email (once you decide which editors you want enabled, of course).
What's the catch? There's always a catch.
The only catch here is that you can only edit an existing template with the original editor; no cross-use of editors will be tolerated, so stay in your lane. 😜
How will I know which editor I created my template in, you ask.
Easy peasy. All templates will be clearly labeled, and you can filter by editor in all the expected locations, such as the template list shown below. Plus, when you click on an existing template, it will automatically open in the appropriate editor, so you don't have to remember where you originally created it.
Ready to choose your alternate editors?
Reach out to your Cendyn representative to request the editor(s) you'd like enabled. We'll get you hooked up in no time. ⏱️
