Release Notes - January 17, 2024
Prepare to be carried away by the exciting updates cruising 🚢 your way on January 18, 2024, including:
- an improved and more intuitive campaign flow
- new, easier ways to search in Manage Campaigns
- and, for eInsight Sales users, new B2B sales campaigns and the ability to easily view B2C vs B2B campaigns in Audience Details. Â
Expect smooth sailing ⛵ as minimal downtime is expected. Let's navigate deeper ⚓ to uncover the value each enhancement will deliver.
Simplified Campaign Flow
Prior to this spiffy release, when creating a campaign, you first had to select the property for the campaign, then proceed to the wizard to complete the setup. Well, that ship is sailing. When you create a new campaign moving forward, eInsight will automatically assign the property you've selected from the organization selector to the new campaign. (Don't worry if it's not the property you intended. You can always adjust it later. 😅 Phew!)
Instead of the property list, you'll see this:
Search Manage Campaigns by Campaign Type
You'll now be about to search for, filter, and locate existing campaigns by campaign type. The simplified search includes options to filter by campaign sub-type (e.g., Marketing or Transactional).
eInsight Sales users will be able to first filter by campaign type (e.g., Consumer or Sales), then by campaign sub-type. (They're SO fancy! 💎)
Of course, you'll still be able to use the tabs to filter by status and sort by any column header such as Name/Subject to locate a specific campaign.Â

B2B Sales Campaigns for eInsight Sales Users
eInsight Sales users will now be able to create, send, and manage B2B sales campaigns in the eInsight CRM Campaigns module.Â
How do Sales campaigns differ from Consumer campaigns?Â
B2C Consumer (business-to consumer) - The traditional email marketing function in the CRM that allows users to send marketing and transactional emails to guests booking and staying at a hotel.
B2B Sales (business-to-business) - With this new addition, marketers can send sales campaigns targeted to travel agents or company accounts that have negotiated contracts, and book reservations for guests (consumers) staying at hotels.
When creating a new B2B Sales campaign, select Create in the Sales card.
When setting criteria in the campaign wizard, be sure to select your hotel group’s B2B contact profiles for the data source. And don't forget to take advantage of the 13 new sales-specific filters available to build an audience. Examples include the country or region of the B2B accounts associated with those B2B contacts.
These new B2B sales audience builder filters were configured at the time of your eInsight Sales implementation and are ready to be used now.
Other than the items mentioned above, working with Sales campaigns will be the exact same as with Consumer campaigns, so you're ready to speed 🚤 through the process.

Associated Campaigns Tab for eInsight Sales Users
When Sales campaigns are sent via eInsight CRM, any audiences associated with those campaigns will be easy to view in the Audience Details. You'll use the new filter on the Associated Campaigns tab to toggle between B2C Consumer campaigns and B2B Sales campaigns.Â
You may also notice minor updates we made to columns to simplify and standardize the view. No compliments, necessary. 😉
