You can define how high or how low bid prices are for any specific date(s) and Control Segment(s).
By assigning a minimum/maximum bid price, you can prevent a $0 bid price being sent to the PMS and having a guest get quoted a complimentary room for their stay or a bid that when a $0 bid price is suggested in Guestrev, the minimum rate will be quoted to a guest instead.
By assigning a maximum bid price, should Guestrev suggests an inordinately high bid price, perhaps a price the hotel doesn’t even have built, a maximum bid price ensures the highest rate for that segment is quoted versus Guestrev’s suggested bid price. Thus, you have the ability to control the output of Guestrev’s price recommendation within your pricing strategy.
Steps to setting up Min/Max feature
- Navigate to Guestrev > manage day > day view or multi day view > Explore new Guestrev.
- Next, navigate to Rate Policies > Min/Max
- Filter setting:
- Room

- Control segment level for that particular hotel
- Once your settings are set, select save to populate data in the table.
- The first column displays the dates then the control segments, their minimum and maximum price points.

You have three methods to edit your min/max.

Copy and paste
If you would like to make edits to several min/max, which is more than a few individuals, but not to all control segments, you would likely benefit from the copy and paste feature.

- Highlight the table, right click and select copy.
- Go back to your table in Guestrev and select the first box, right click and select paste.
