Please follow this basic steps to configure them:
Step 1. Go to Campaigns Manager and click Transactional
Step 2. Click Create Transactional
Step 3. Complete the following steps
Step 4. Select Email as the channel.
Step 5. In the tab of Event type you will be able to:
- Select the language. The transacctional will only be sent to those guests who have this specific language selected as their language. If you do not select any language it will be sent in English by default.
Note: if you want to send transactionals in different languagesyou will need to create one transactional per each language and create the template accordingly.
- Transactioanl event. should be always Internal.
- Choose the Even type. You can create 3 types of transactionals: Confirmation, Cancelation and Modification.
Note: Each event needs to have their own transactional.
- Select the Hotel. In case you have a multi-property account, you must select the Hotel that you are creating the transactional for.
Note: Each Hotel needs their own transactioanal if they have different branding.
- Exclude segments. If you want to exclude part of your audience from this communications, you need first to create the specific segment and then exclude it in this section.
Note: You can select multiple segments.
In this example; this transactional is for the event type of Confirmation, for the guests who speaks English, for the Hotel "Pushotel City", excluding "OTA Reservations"
Step 6. Create the message like a normal campaign and select the right template
Step 7. Schedule the campaign for now (this is the only option available, however, this does not mean that the campaign will be delivered now, it will be delivered when the API call is made).
Step 8. Click on our Review and Send option and once you have verified that the campaign name, event type and template are correct, click on Start Transactional.
