Customer contacts can often be sored in different locations such as:
- Booking Engine
- Social media or marketing
- Engagement campaigns
When it comes to importing, we need to make sure all data is collected without duplicating the same contacts.
Unique User IDs
The CRM uses the email as a unique user ID to avoid any duplication issue.
If a contact is on a social media contest marketing list, their previous booking data is in your PMS, their future booking is currently in your booking engine and you import information from each source, via email (User ID), the CRM will recognize them as the same person and add data to their customer profile without duplicating.
By linking the user ID to the email, all the information in that user ID will be enriched.
This is why it is very important to have a 'user email' column in the document you are importing, so that you can later identify that user and enrich it.
