Promoting a PMS profile to a B2B sales account allows sales team to manage the business for the account and utilize all eInsight Sales features when managing that account.
If a PMS profile should be promoted to and managed as a B2B sales account, follow the steps below:
- From the PMS Profiles page, search, locate, and open the PMS profile record.
- In the top-right corner, select the Action button.
- Select the Promote to Account.
- If you intend to promote the profile to a B2B account, select to Proceed; or opt to Cancel the transaction.
Note
Even if you choose to proceed, you are still able to cancel the transaction before saving the new B2B account.
- A new B2B account form displays and has copied the relevant data from the PMS profile.
- Complete any remaining or required fields on the B2B account and select Save in the top-left corner of the window.
- A new B2B account is created and is automatically linked with the PMS profile.
Note
Once the new B2B account is saved, you can no longer cancel the promote feature. However, the account can be edited or deleted manually by the user OR the PMS profile could be unlinked manually from the account.
Note
Email addresses do not copy over from PMS profiles when promoting to B2B accounts. Email addresses in eInsight Sales is managed as a separate table and must be entered manually.
Note
When a PMS profile is promoted to a B2B account, eInsight CRM receives notice of the newly created B2B account and the link of the PMS profile to that account. As a result, all production revenue and stay data from that PMS profile are reported via that B2B account.
