Release Notes: February 27, 2024
Gear up for the exciting new upgrades rolling out on Thursday, February 29, 2024. No need to worry about any snowed-in downtime. ⛄
You'll be able to add image captions for each language supported by your site, easily search across all modules to locate what you seek, and determine if a link opens in a new tab or the same tab. Read on for details.
Image Caption/Alt Text by Language
Alt text isn't just snowflakes on a windshield; it's crucial for accessibility, SEO, and overall UX by conveying the meaning and context of images. Now, if you have multiple languages on your site for a global audience, you can customize image captions in multiple languages. Keep your website as clear as freshly fallen snow with this cool feature. ❄️
The AI captioning feature (Caption with AI) only generates captions in English at this time. If a caption is not defined for a particular language, the English caption will automatically display.
Improved CMS Search Functionality
Navigating through your website just got easier than traversing a snowy mountain. Our CMS search now digs deeper, uncovering content from all corners of your site. Whether you're looking for key words on pages, forms, or labels, our search has got you covered like a warm winter coat.
Advanced Content Modules (ACMs) – Open in a New Tab
Tired of getting lost in the frosty winds of the internet? Fear not! Now you can control how your links behave, ensuring users don't wander off into the cold.
External links open in new tabs by default (http, https), while internal links default to open within the same tab, keeping visitors snug on your site. It's like wrapping them in a warm blanket of usability. But if you want to forge your own path, you can now define the link behavior on a link-by-link basis.
If you're itching to dive into this winter wonderland upgrade, make sure to open a ticket for the Front End Development (FED) team to enable it on your templates. Let's keep the cozy vibes going all season long.
