This Cendyn CRM article provides a step-by-step guide for creating and embedding a form on a website using a CRM system. It begins with registering the site or app, then adding a new app with necessary details like name, environment, and URL. After creating the app, users proceed to lead generation and form creation, inputting required information such as name, description, and language. Users can customize the form by dragging elements, preview it, and choose between HTML code or dynamic embedded code for integration. Finally, it emphasizes saving the form and notes that separate forms are required for different languages.
- To get started, you'll need to register the name of the website or application for which you want to create the form. Navigate to Mobile & Web Apps and click on Add new App
- Enter a name for your Mobile & Web app : This is the name that will be registered in our CRM.
- Select Production in the App environment dropdown field, if the web is published. Select and Development if the page is in process to be published.
- Upload an App Icon Image
- Enter the Website URL from your site. For example: https://www.yourdomain.com
- After you added this information, click Create App to save the changes made
- Navigate to Lead Generation > Forms and click on Create New Form
- Add all the required information such as: Name, Web app, Description, Form URL and Language, then click on Save Form.
- From the right-hand side panel, drag the information that you want to add to your form
- To edit click the pencil icon that appears when you position the cursor on the element you want to change.
- The next step - Preview - allows you to see how the form will appear to your clients.
HTML Code
- Click on Copy to Clipboard to embed the HTML code to your website
It's important to note that if you make any changes to the form later on, you'll need to copy and paste the updated code onto your website again.
Dynamic Embedded code
- If you want the form on your website to automatically update whenever you make changes to it in CendynCRM, you'll need to use a dynamic link and embed it into an iframe. This link can be found on the first page of the form builder.
- Click Save Form at the top of the screen to save the form.
Forms cannot be translated directly, so you'll need to create a separate form for each language you want to support.
Warning
Web bots can exploit web forms by submitting invalid or malicious emails, leading to privacy violations and phishing risks, ultimately harming email campaign performance and CRM data integrity.
