When accessing the details of any contact, you can now assign them as part of: Blacklist, Whitelist, and Neutral.
You can find this category under Contact Information > Contact Information:
These categories mean:
Blacklist Category: When you tag a contact as blacklisted, it means you have decided not to send them any more marketing communications. Even if the customer changes their mind later or makes another booking, being blacklisted ensures that they will not receive any promotional material. This is a definitive measure to prevent sending them promotional messages.
Whitelist Category: This category is useful for contacts used for internal sending tests, such as your own email address. If a contact is whitelisted, it means that even if they unsubscribe or there are technical issues, like a hard bounce, they will continue to receive email communications. It ensures that certain contacts are always available to receive tests or important communications.
Neutral Category: Most contacts will fall into this category. They will follow the usual logic flow of the marketing platform. If they have active consent to receive marketing, they will receive communications. If they choose to unsubscribe, their consent will change to "False," and they will stop receiving marketing communications. This is the standard category for managing contacts on the platform, without the special features of the Blacklist and Whitelist categories.
