Release Notes - August 6, 2024

We're excited to share with you exciting Cendyn Booking Engine (RT4), Cendyn Call Center, and Cendyn CRS (formerly known as Pegasus CRS) enhancements coming your way soon. Our U.S. customers will see these updates on August 07, 2024, followed by our friends in EMEA and Asia, and the Boyd and Venetian instances on August 08, 2024. Minimal downtime is expected.

Booking Engine

ADA Rooms enhancement

To enhance the guest experience and increase the chances of seeing available rooms, we're changing the default ADA setting to "Off." As a result, guests will initially see only non-ADA rooms in the Room Listing view.

When guests change the ADA toggle to "On," they'll see both ADA and non-ADA rooms.

Additionally, if guests arrive from meta and website channels with an ADA room option preselected, the system will detect this and automatically switch on the ADA room option, displaying the relevant rooms.

Price Breakdown pop-up enhancement

In the Booking Engine, on the Room Listing page, after selecting the Rate Plans in the Offers view and choosing the Room Type, the price details of the room are displayed. We're replacing the "i" icon that was previously shown with "View Price Breakdown," to provide a clearer indication that guests can view the price breakdown.

When guests click the new link, complete price details appear in a pop-up view. 

Tax display on calendar enhancement

If a property has selected "Include Fees Only" for the Tax Display in the Property Default settings, the calendar page on the Booking Engine will show prices that include both the room base price and fees below the dates on the calendar once the check-in and check-out dates are selected. This will apply to the Standard calendar.

Call Center: New Dynamic Pricing Rules for PolyAI

Previously, PolyAI only provided rates and availability based on the rate code. With the addition of DPR (Dynamic Pricing Rules), discounts will now be applied on top of the rate code based on various parameters such as stay dates, book dates, channels, rate plan, and room type. This will allow PolyAI to quote rates that include any applicable DPR discounts on existing rates.

Cendyn CRS: Send package pricing to OTAs - Rates including add-ons per person

This feature will enable the distribution of package pricing to OTAs through the CRS, including add-ons priced per person, for all our distribution partners. With this release, SiteMinder, IBS, and HotelTrader will be supported, in addition to the existing options for Booking.com, Expedia, Agoda, and DerbySoft. This facilitates sending rate plans that include meal plan pricing.
