Release Notes - October 15, 2024
We're excited to announce major changes have been made to the Direct Booking CMS. We’ve given the front-end editor a sleek new look and feel, and rolled out a shiny new CMS back-end admin. This updated admin area comes packed with extra configuration options that weren’t available before, plus a high-level view of all your site’s pages and features. Now, managing and updating multiple pages is a breeze—no more hopping from page to page. These upgrades make site management smoother and way more fun!
Front-end Editor New Feature
Draft Pages
You can now easily create draft versions of pages right from the front-end editor, letting you work on content behind the scenes. Save your changes, review them, and hit publish when you’re ready to go live—no rush!
Back-end Admin New Features
SEO Enhancements
You can set unique page titles and meta descriptions for each language, giving your SEO strategy a boost across different regions.
Customizable Multi-language URLs
Speaking of languages, URLs can now be customized for each version of a page. So, while your English page might be /rooms.html, the French version could be /chambres.html, making your URLs both language-specific and SEO-friendly.
Branding Updates
You can now upload and manage key branding elements—like your site's favicon, social media icons, and logos—right from the back-end admin. This makes it a breeze to keep your branding consistent across the board and update your assets whenever you need to, all in one place.
Tracking Integration
Google Tag Manager can now be easily integrated right from the back-end admin, making it super convenient to manage all your tracking tags in one spot.
301 Redirects
You can now create and edit 301 redirects directly in the back-end admin, ensuring users are seamlessly redirected from outdated URLs to the correct pages. This not only boosts SEO but also improves the overall user experience.
Popup Management
Popups can now be easily created and activated on any page, with a detailed history available for both active and inactive ones. The history shows their status (active/inactive), which pages they’re assigned to, and the date they were created, making it super simple to manage and track your popups.
