Following the SSO with MFA user account activation, to administer access and permissions for eInsight users, follow the instructions in this section of the document. All users continue to be managed via eInsight's User Admin features. Continue following knows steps to add/edit new users in eInsight > Settings.
NOTE: During activation of eInsight only users with SSO, there are no change to permissions, assignments, or access to any modules or features.
To assist users with initial activation the following definitions and features may clarify how the user account behaves with SSO/MFA in Settings > Manage Users.
The status column displays the "Active" or "Inactive" status of the user account and other Actions to be aware of :
- If "Active", the user has been validated with SSO administrator and has access to any assigned applications.
- Active users can be deactivated by selecting the Deactivate option in the Actions column - please use this with caution as this will prevent that user from logging into either eInsight CRM or eNgage. Users must remain active to log into either application.
- If the user is in an Active status, they have been validated already with SSO. However, if they did not receive their activation email and have not setup their own password, contact Cendyn support for assistance to reset that SSO account.
- If "Inactive", the user has also been deactivated with SSO administrator and cannot login to any assigned applications
- Inactive users can be reactivated by selected the Reactivate option in the Actions column.
- Reactivating a user will trigger the account into a "Pending" status and sends an activation email to the user. The same permissions, settings, and access controls previously assigned to that user are maintained once the account is validated and moved to "Active" status
- If "Pending", the user has been created in eInsight, but has not yet validated their account and created their password. The user cannot login to any application until the password has been reset. That user much click on the link in the activation email to setup a password and change the SSO status to "Active".
If user has not received or cannot locate their initial activation email but remains in a "Pending" status, in the Actions column, select the Resend Email option to trigger an SSO activation email.
