Group Rates allow users to efficiently manage pricing and inventory for group bookings. Designed to cater to specific group needs, this feature simplifies the reservation process by offering tailored rates, ensuring a seamless experience for both guests and property managers.
Before creating a group rate, a group block must first be created. This ensures that inventory can be allocated specifically for the group.
Creating a Group Block
To create a new group block, navigate to Group Blocks>Add New.
- Enter a Name and a Block Code, which must be identical to the one used in your external interface
- Select there required Room Types
- Select a Release Date the Stay Window and Save to confirm your entries
- Once created, you can manage the room inventory. Click on Manage Inventory, select the applicable dates and click Submit.
- Select the room type and enter the number of rooms in the Rooms Available field.
- Clicking on Quick Entry will update all Availability fields at once, when you have several days displayed on the table
- Update your changes
Creating a Group Rate
The Process of building a Group Rate is similar to building a rate plan. This section will show you the additional steps to follow in order for the group to be set up correctly.
Navigate to Rate Plans>Add New.
- Enter the rate Name, Rate Type Code, and Categories.
The group block code entered on this page must be identical to the code from your PMS.
- Enter the Short Description.
- Set Rate Type Classification to Group.
- Select the Room Types.
- Add any add-ons.
- Enter the Booking start date and the First check-in date.
- From the Rate Plan Association section, select the new Group Block from the dropdown.
- Select the Rate calculation method and add the values as needed.
- Enter any additional information if needed and click Save.
