Steps to identify and research target accounts for a successful local sales blitz.
Use Case Example: Jane is planning a local sales blitz in Palm Beach Gardens, FL. She uses the custom search feature to find organizations that have met in Palm Beach Gardens in recent years and are headquartered in the area. This targeted list helps her target the right accounts with tailored messaging, increasing her chances of securing meetings and building stronger relationships.
Accessing Custom Search Form

- Login to the Knowland platform.
- Navigate to Accounts & Events and select New Custom Search.

On the search form, pick from Booking, Property and/or Account filters.
Note: Each filter can be used on its own or combined with other filters to narrow your search.
Add Booking Filters
- Under the Booking Attributes tab:
- Click Year and select the last three years (e.g., 2022, 2023, 2024). Click +Close to save.

To focus on specific months or quarters, use the additional filters.
Tip: Examining multiple years can help you identify recurring business opportunities.
Add Property Filters
- Click the Property Attributes tab to specify the booking location:
- Use Center Point to enter a location (e.g., Palm Beach Gardens, FL).
- Adjust the radius slider and click +Add Center Point to save.
- To add multiple locations repeat the steps.
Add Account Filters
- Click the Account Attributes tab to filter by HQ Account Location:
- Use HQ Account Location > Center Point to enter a location (e.g., Palm Beach Gardens, FL)
- Adjust the radius slider and click +Add Center Point to save.
View Search Results & Next Steps
- Once you've set your filters, click the magnifying glass to generate results.
- Results are sorted by relevance by default. Switch to Booking Count: Highest First to see accounts with the most activity.
- Click the grey bar to preview recent bookings for each account.
- Click the account name to view account-level details.
- Booking trends
- Booking details
- Account contacts (if available)
- Other key insights
- Use the person icon on the right to assign accounts for follow-up actions, such as a quick call or further analysis.
- Open the Search Actions Menu to edit or export your search.
Locate Your Searches
From the homepage, find the My Searches widget for quick and easy access to all your searches.
