Steps to build, manage, and organize your competitive sets for your available markets.

Access Competitive Set Manager

1. Login to the Knowland platform.
2. From the Homepage, click on Tools and select Competitive Set Manager.
   • Here, you will find:
     • Map View: An interactive map showing the geographic distribution of properties, with pins indicating their locations.
     • List View: A detailed list of properties, including information such as name, chain scale, collection days, and more. You can sort and filter the list based on different criteria.

Search for Properties

From Build Tab:

• By default, the filters display properties in your home market with an "active" property collection status, meaning new data is being collected.
• Adjust the filters to modify both the list and map view to display properties matching your criteria.
• Use the map zoom feature to refine the list of displayed properties. Use the + and - symbols in the bottom right corner of the map to zoom in and out.

Using Zoom To Field:

1. Enter a location in the Zoom To field to view available properties.
2. Apply additional filters after zooming to further refine the property results.

Using Property Search Typeahead Field:

1. Type the name of a property in the Property Search field.
2. Select the desired property from the suggestions that appear.

Add Competitive Sets

1. Click the blue competitive set icon next to the property name.
2. Choose an existing competitive set or click + Add to New Competitive Set to create a new set and add the property in one step.

Manage Competitive Sets

1. Go to the Manage tab to view and manage all your sets.
2. Select a competitive set to expand and view the properties included.
3. Use the following icons to manage the set:
   • Change Default Set: Click the circle icon with a check mark.
   • Copy the Set: Click the icon with stacked pieces of paper.
   • Edit the Set Name: Click the pencil icon.
   • Delete the Set or Property in the Set: Click the trash can icon.

Clone Competitive Sets

1. From the Manage tab, located next to the Build tab, select a user from the top dropdown menu.
2. Click the icon with stacked pieces of paper to copy the selected team member’s set(s) to your account.
3. The copied set will appear in your list of sets.
4. Edits made to the copied set will not affect the original set owned by the other team member.

View Competitive Set Activity

1. Navigate to the Competition category in the Navigation Bar.
2. Select Weekly Calendar.

1. Schedule weekly notifications, using the envelope icon.
2. Select your preferred email delivery option from the available preferences.

Tips

Consider organizing your competitive sets for ease of use. Here are a few ideas:

• Nearby Properties: Properties close to your location with similar characteristics.
• Comparable Product: Properties with a similar physical condition, renovation status, or overall size.
• Lost Business Competitors: Properties that you often loses business to.
• Out-of-Market Comparisons: Properties in other cities or regions that you consider relevant competitors.
