Some great updates are on the way for the Cendyn Booking Engine (RT4). Customers in the U.S. and EMEA can look forward to these updates on January 6, 2025, while our friends in Asia, along with the Boyd and Venetian instances, get their turn on January 8, 2025. The best part? You can expect only minimal downtime during the rollout.
What's New
New Loyalty Standard Email Templates: Sign-Up and Reset Password
We’ve enhanced the loyalty email experience—you can now choose between sleek new standard email templates or stick with your tried-and-true customized ones for Sign-Up and Reset Password emails.
Loyalty Email Types
- Sign-Up Email: Guests receive this email when they create an account on the booking engine with loyalty enabled.
- Reset Password Email: Guests receive this email when they initiate the "Forgot Password" process on the booking engine with loyalty enabled.
CRS Configurations
Under Loyalty Settings, you can now toggle between standard and custom templates with added features such as:
- Personalization Variables: Add a personal touch to loyalty emails.
- Custom Text: Include unique messaging to make emails more engaging.
- Preview Option: See how emails will look before they’re sent.
Email Branding Made Simple
To keep branding consistent and hassle-free:
- Button colors and hero images are automatically pulled from Property Management → Property Branding.
- This ensures emails align with each property’s unique look and feel, all managed from one place.
For backward compatibility, custom templates remain the default option for existing customers. Properties can easily switch to the new standard templates and take advantage of these updates.

Customizing Standard Email Templates
Properties can make small tweaks to the standard sign-up and reset password templates directly in the admin panel:
- Navigate to Admin > Loyalty Program > Loyalty Settings > Property Emails Customization.
- Add custom text to the Guest Sign-Up/Reset Password Email Template text box.
- Use the preview tool to see how the emails will appear to guests.
Your custom text will be displayed in designated spots within the emails as seen below, ensuring a polished and professional look.
These enhancements bring greater flexibility, personalization, and ease of use to loyalty email communications—because even the little things, like a great email, make a big difference.
Sort Property Taxes and Fees Your Way
We’ve given the booking engine a little extra polish—now you can sort how taxes and fees are displayed, putting you in charge of the presentation.
CRS Configuration
In Property Management → Taxes and Fees, you’ll now find a new Return Order Configuration option.
Here’s how it works:
- Choose the order in which taxes and fees should appear.
- The selected order will be reflected across the Price Breakdown section on the Room/Rate Listing, Shopping Cart, and Checkout pages.
This update makes managing taxes and fees clearer for you and your guests—because every detail matters when it comes to a smooth booking experience.
