We are pleased to announce Enhanced Data Collection processes for customers. Participation in this program allows us to deliver more data back to you. Hotels who deliver their Daily Reader Board Data via either Amadeus API Feed (E-Reporting) or Self-Reporting receive the optimal data included in your subscription without the limitations of manual reader schedules in your market – that’s up to seven days per week. Plus, participants will be able to take better advantage of analysis tools with the full data set in the platform.
How to Participate, the Benefits, and other Frequently Asked Questions
How Do I Participate? There is no cost for hotels to participate in this program. A hotel must simply opt into one of the electronic collection methods:
- Amadeus API Feed: To enroll in the Amadeus API integration at no cost to you, the hotel must be using a qualifying version of Amadeus Sales & Events Management (Advanced, Standard, Essentials). Sign up is as easy as completing an online form found here.
- Self-Reporting: Hotels who are not Amadeus customers may self-report their data by exporting the appropriate report from their Sales and Catering system in XLS format weekly on Mondays.
What Are the Benefits?
- Access to more data: Data sharing will increase the amount of data Knowland obtains. Getting the maximum data for one's market, up to 7 days a week, will provide customers with a more holistic view of the booking trends vs a sampling of data.
- Greater Data Quality: With new technological capabilities Knowland can now capture and process data automatically with no manual intervention which eliminates the chance for human error and reduces processing time. With electronic collection and instantaneous updates, we can deliver higher data accuracy and completeness.
- Equity: The new process delivers data reciprocity by giving users visibility to the same level of data they contribute which makes it equitable for clients who participate in data sharing.
- Need to Know: Customers that do not participate in the Enhanced Data Collection program will see only the data that is manually collected in a market three days a week. The remaining data will appear grayed out throughout the Knowland platform.
