Release Notes - April 29, 2025
We’re excited to share the latest updates and enhancements to Cendyn CRM. Customers in the US, EU, and APAC will see these updates go live on April 29, 2025, with only minimal downtime expected. Read on for all the new features, improvements, and ways to make the most of your CRM experience.
What's New
Profile Data Cleanse
Guest profiles can come from all over—your PMS, webforms, and other sources—and not all of them arrive in perfect shape. Even small differences between profiles can prevent them from matching, leading to duplicates and a fragmented view of your guests.
That’s where Cendyn CRM’s new (and free!) optional data cleanse comes in. With smart rules working behind the scenes, we clean up and standardize your data to improve match rates. The result? Fewer duplicates and more unified profiles—so you can deliver more personalized, meaningful guest experiences with ease.

Testing Campaigns and Email Template Designs
We’ve rolled out a series of time-saving enhancements to help you test campaigns and email templates faster and more confidently—giving you the edge when it comes to guest engagement.
Marketing Campaign Updates
In the Marketing Campaigns Wizard, key actions like Send for Approval and Send Campaign have been relocated on a streamlined Review & Send page. It's now easier than ever to double-check all your settings before hitting send.
The Send Test feature also got a major upgrade—you can now send test emails to up to 10 addresses at once. Plus, both test emails and live previews will auto-fill personalization tags with test profile data, giving you a more accurate snapshot of exactly what guests will see.

Transactional Campaign Updates
Whether you’re onboarding a new campaign or tweaking an existing one, we’ve made testing smarter and stronger in the Transactional Campaign Wizard.
- The refreshed Review & Send page and enhanced Send Test feature help you catch any issues early.
- You can now preview dynamic content with real reservation data—before the first live email ever goes out.
- A new Staging mode gives you a safe, live-like environment to build, schedule, and test your campaigns without sending anything to guests. Staged campaigns are clearly marked and easily filtered from the Transactional Automation page.
- Simply select Staging in the wizard to place your campaign in test mode.
And to make everything even easier, there’s a new Transactional Campaign Report with updated search filters and the ability to preview generated test emails.

Segmentation in Transactional Campaigns
Audience targeting just leveled up!
The new Include Segments option in the Transactional Campaign Wizard lets you define specific audience criteria for each campaign. Instead of packing one template with tons of dynamic content rules, you can now deliver a perfectly tailored message to exactly the right guests.
Note
All customers with existing, active transactional campaigns are automatically set as the default campaigns for each event type. Be sure to double-check your criteria on your default campaigns before adding any new segmented ones.

Email Templates: Dynamic Content
Managing dynamic content just got a whole lot easier—and a lot less technical.
Now, simply highlight a row with dynamic content and open the Conditions Builder. The updated modal will show all current rules for that row, making it easy to edit or add new rules—no HTML knowledge needed.
Additional Enhancements
A few extra improvements to make your workflow even smoother:
- Stay Details Personalization Tag: Choose your preferred date format for the Res Stay Details tag on confirmation letters, including displaying nightly rates.
- Revenue Personalization Tags: Set the currency symbol and price format when adding Price tags (and other revenue-related tags like Total Room Revenue and Average Room Rate) on confirmation letters.
- Audience Lists Separated by Property: Newsletters will now only appear in the Preference Center for the organization they belong to—ensuring guests only see what's relevant to them.
- PMS Memberships: Program Code, Membership ID, Membership Name, and Membership Level details are now visible on contact profiles, usable as personalization tags, and available for dynamic content rules.
- Deposit Rules in Data Dictionary: Add deposit rule entries to the Data Dictionary to ensure deposit policy tags display correctly in confirmation letters.
- Day-of-Week Segmentation Filter: We've renamed the old "Next Day" segmentation filter to Day-of-Week, better reflecting its use for targeting guests based on specific future weekdays or weekends.
- Template Folders: Managing email templates just got easier with improvements to folder naming and the ability to move templates between organizations.
