What is a personalization tag?
When a campaign is sent with personalization tags, the value of the tag is automatically inserted into the campaign, replacing the tag itself, thus personalizing the campaign for each email recipient.
Add or edit personalization tags and dynamic content.
Navigate to Campaigns > Create > Template.
Select Personalize to add or edit personalization tags and dynamic content in your email template.
If your template is in the Drag & Drop Editor and you select Personalize, you will be taken to the HTML Editor where you can add or edit personalization tags and dynamic content.
Warning
Once you select Personalize to open your template in the HTML Editor and select Save, you cannot return to Studio or the Drag & Drop Editor.
Once you choose a template that utilizes dynamic content and/or personalization tags in your campaign you must always edit the campaign in the HTML Editor; you cannot change to Studio or the Drag & Drop Editor.
