NEW FUNCTIONALITY TO MANAGE CASL REQUIREMENTS
eInsight CRM | Enterprise marketing automation and guest intelligence
We have updated eInsight's functionality so you can easily comply with Canada’s Anti-Spam Legislation (CASL) with the simple click of a button. CASL applies to all electronic messages organizations send in connection with a “commercial activity.” Its key feature requires Canadian and global organizations that send commercial electronic messages (CEMs) within, from or to Canada to receive consent from recipients before sending messages. Read below to see how the new functionality works.
Scheduler Feature: Include and Exclude Option
Just prior to scheduling a marketing or transactional email, you will now be asked if you want to include or exclude all recipients with Canadian or blank country codes.
By selecting Include you confirm that you have consent from recipients with Canadian or blank country codes.
By selecting Exclude all recipients with Canadian or blank country codes will be suppressed from your campaign audience when the campaign sends.
If you wish to exclude Canadian recipients but include those with blank country codes, please modify your audience segment accordingly in the campaign criteria tab. Contact your Cendyn representative if you need assistance.
Resend Feature
The Resend feature in the Profile window enables you to re-send a marketing or transactional email to an email address you insert into the blank field. The Send and Preview buttons remain disabled until you confirm that the inserted email address is in compliance with Canada’s Anti-Spam Legislation.
Quick Send Feature
The Quick Send feature in the Edit Template tab and the Customer Details window enables you to send a test marketing or transactional campaign to internal or external recipients.
The list of available email addresses and the Submit Request button remain disabled until you confirm that the selected email address(es) are in compliance with Canada’s Anti-Spam Legislation.
Send to Test Email(s) Feature
The Send to Test Email(s) feature in the Manage Campaign tab and the Testing tab allows you to send a test marketing or transactional email campaign to internal or external recipients.
The list of available email addresses and the Submit Request button remain disabled until you confirm that the selected email address(es) are in compliance with Canada’s Anti-Spam Legislation.
