The Forecast Performance Monitor Report reveals how well the forecast performed at intervals of 120, 60, 28, 21, 14, 7, and 0 days out on the customer segment and room category level. With the benefit of hindsight, you can evaluate when the forecast displayed inaccuracies and explore possible influencing factors, such as changes in group availability, user overrides or system forecast error.

Report Columns

• Hotel: The ID or property code for the property.
• Inventory Date: The calendar date of the Inventory Date
• DOW: The day of the week of the Inventory Date.
• Days Left: The difference between the Arrival Date and Capture Date.
• Room Category: Grouping of Room Types; one of the four attributes used for defining the Revenue Management Product.
• Customer Segment: Individual Customer Segments the client has defined for revenue management purposes.
• Event: Indicates with a P (property) or S (segment) whether an event has been identified for this Inventory Date, Rate Segment or Room Category.
• Offer: Indicates with an O whether an offer has been identified for this Inventory Date, Rate Segment or Room Category.
• Day 0 Avail Cap (Day 0 Transient Available Capacity): The number of hotel rooms on day 0 not committed to group or wholesale blocks, or out of service. Except for the Days Left parameter (Day 7, Day 14, etc.), this definition applies to the analogous columns throughout the report.
• Day 0 RmNts: Number of transient rooms sold on this Inventory Date.
• Day 0 Obs Dmd: Day 0 observed unconstrained transient demand.
• Day 0 Fcst RmNts: (Forecast Day 0 Transient Sold): The forecasted transient rooms sold as of 0 Days Left to arrival.
• Day 0 Var To Actual (Variation to Actual Sold): The variance of actual transient rooms consumed to forecasted transient rooms sold as of 0 Days Left to arrival.
• Day 0 Current Bidprice: Day 0 Recommended Bid Price
• Day 7 Avail Cap (Day 7 Transient Available Capacity): The number of hotel rooms on day 7 not committed to group or wholesale blocks, or out of service.
• Day 7 RmNts: Number of transient rooms sold on this Inventory Date when Days Left = 7.
• Day 7 Obs Dmd: Day 7 observed unconstrained transient demand.
• Day 7 Fcst RmNts (Forecast Day 7 Transient Sold): The forecasted transient rooms sold as of 7 Days Left to arrival.
• Day 7 Var To Actual (Variation to Actual Sold): The variance of actual transient rooms consumed to forecasted transient rooms sold as of 0 Days Left to arrival.
