Event Types fall into either the Property or Segment category. Segment Event Types pre-define& the customer segments and segment groups affected by the event.
Events Tab
Select Events from the main navigation.
Select Event Types
Select the Event Types icon.
Create an Event Type
Select Add Event Type.
Property Event Type

When Property is selected for the Event Category, the Customer Segment and Segment Groups selections are disabled.
When Property is selected for the Event Category, the Customer Segment and Segment Groups selections are disabled.
Enter a name and description for the Event Type and select Save.
Segment Event Tab
Enter a name and description for the Event Type. Click on the desired Customer Segments and Segment Groups for the new Event Type. Select Save.
Edit an Event Type
Select the Edit icon for a specific Event Type.
Make your changes and select Save.
Using Event Types
When you define a new Event, the Event Types you created populate a drop-down list to choose from.
When viewing Events in the list view, there is a column for Event Type that can be used to filter or sort the view.

Auto Detected events will be identified for historical DOAs and can be used as a means of identifying dates that may need to be considered as future events going forward.

Will not auto-detect for future dates.
You should only add an event when the property expects the same event to impact future demand.
So, in a case where there was additional demand due to a storm, that would not be built as a future event. However, a new citywide event that will occur annually could be build as a future event.
