View the rate type options available to use to configure your upgrade (business) rules. Admin users may add additional rate types and edit existing rate types.
Navigate to Rate Types
Select Rate Types from the main navigation bar.
Select a Hotel
If you have access to only one property, by default, your rate types for your one property will be displayed. However, if you have access to more than one property, by default, the rate types for all of your properties will be displayed. To view rate types for only one property, select it from the drop-down list. Then select Search to view only that property's rate types.
Add a Rate Type
Select Add.
Edit a Rate Type
Select the Edit icon to edit an existing rate type.
Rate Type Setup Details
A blank form will open when you add a new rate type, while a form with existing rate type details will open when you select to edit an rate type. Fields with asterisks are required.
Hotel Name
When adding a rate code, choose a property to which you have access from the drop-down list of the properties. When editing a rate code, the hotel name is not editable.
Rate Code Type
Enter the actual code for the rate code as specified in your PMS.
You must create every rate code for each property that uses it.
Rate Type Code Description
Enter a description for later reference. Content may not exceed 200 characters.
Enable/Disable
When a Blocked icon appears, the rate type is enabled and available to be used to configure upgrade rules. When a Checkmark icon appears, the rate type is disabled and not available to be used to configure upgrade rules.
Disabling a rate type will automatically disable all upgrade rules associated with the rate type.
Export Rate Types
Select Export to generate an Excel file of all existing rate types.
The downloaded file will be called ratetype.xls.
If your export file isn't generated, disable the pop-up blocker in your browser and try again.
