Define how a member’s stay qualifies for level upgrades, points and/or rewards. This rule comes before all other loyalty rules and can be used to filter out stays booked on particular sites by market code, among other criteria.
Note
Only Admin users can access and edit Loyalty Rules.
Select the Loyalty Rules Tab
Select the Loyalty Rules tab from the main navigation.
Qualifying Rules Tab
In some configurations, General Rules appear on the Qualifying Rules tab.
Name
The name for the rule is pre-populated and cannot be changed.
Description
Enter a brief description for later reference.
Minimum Revenue
Enter the least amount of revenue a member must generate during the stay to qualify for points or awards using this rule.
Market Codes
Use the Include and Exclude radio buttons and drop-down lists to select the market codes this rule does or does not apply to. For example, you can include in this rule the market codes for bookings made from the loyalty site and exclude bookings made on discount booking engines. Select the Include or Exclude radio button, then click the drop-down list to select all included or excluded market codes.
Parallel Stay
Parallel stays are stays that occur simultaneously. Enter the number of parallel stays for which a member can earn rewards. For example, a member books five stays, one for herself and four for her bridal party, for the same dates. If the parallel stay is set to 1, the member will only earn one qualified stay from the five she booked.
Source of Business
Use the Include and Exclude radio buttons and drop-down lists to select the sources of business this rule does or does not apply to. This filter identifies how or through which channel the business arrived to the hotel.
Channel Codes
Use the Include and Exclude radio buttons and drop-down lists to select the channel codes this rule does or does not apply to (as long as you currently use Channel Codes in your PMS). Channel Codes identify the method or platform a guest used to book a stay, e.g., direct booking engine, OTA, GDS, third party website, etc.
Allow Consecutive Stays
Consecutive stays are back-to-back stays with no break in between. Leave the box unchecked to prevent consecutive stays from earning multiple qualified stays. For example, if a member stays from December 12 – 14, then checks back in on December 14, it is considered a consecutive stay and will not earn qualified stays from both stays if the box is unchecked.
