Select a Dashboard Template
First, choose a type of dashboard: Single Page, Tabbed or Infographic. Then, select a layout. Select OK.
Select a Data Source
You can either choose the eInsightStays folder, which contains your stay data or your own uploaded file.
Option One: Choose an Uploaded File
Select the My Content folder, where you'll see your personal uploaded files. Select one to create a dashboard using that data. Select Add.
Option Two: Choose eInsightStays
For this example, select the Team content folder, then scroll down to select the eInsightStays folder. Select Add.
Click on the eInsight (query) folder to expand it. Then expand sub-folders to see the filters within.
Select, drag and drop your desired filters from the list on the left to the top of the column on the right. Repeat to include additional filters.
Select the criteria you want for the filter, than select Apply.
You'll see what criteria has been applied to the filter in the box directly below it.
To remove the filter from the canvas, click on it to activate the box around it. Then, select the trash icon. You can add the filter back to the canvas at any time.
Select, drag and drop your desired measures from the list on the left to the center of the canvas on the right. For example, choose Calculated Measures > Total Revenue. The data will calculated automatically.
Select a dimension and drop it on top of the measure. For example, choose Stay > Market Segment and place it on top of Total Revenue.
The dashboard will automatically default to a visualization best suited for the data.
