View Pace & Sell Data
The Pace Index/Sell Rate tab displays a year-over-year comparison at the property level, segment level, and by a group of segments, as well as how the property’s quoted rate compares to competitors'.
Understand Pace Index
Pace index measures how well the property is pacing compared to the same time last year. For the date range, pace is the number of room nights booked divided by the number of room nights booked for the same time last year (STLY) aligned with the day of week (DOW). The last year (LY) metric shows how the property was pacing last year over the previous year (2 years back).
The pace metric changes based on the customer segment selected. This allows you to view how a selection of customer segments is performing with respect to the STLY. In contrast, the sell rate is for the entire property and does not depend on customer segment selection.
Sell Rate
Sell rate is the property's quoted rate or publicly available rate as a percentage of their competitors' weighted average-quoted rates. The Sell Rate graph shows how a property is priced compared to its competitors. (This requires data from a competitor rate shopping service.)
