Demand Overrides

Demand overrides enable you to override the unconstrained forecast of room nights for future days. Demand overrides are done at the room category level and are applied to all underlying control or customer segments. When you create an override at the room category level, the underlying control or customer segment updates to reflect the changes. User-defined demand overrides are persistent until the user edits the demand override.

System-produced unconstrained demand can be recovered by clicking the sum field in the Unconstrained Forecast section of the Transient Business tile.

A list displays the following:

• System: The normal unconstrained forecast that Guestrev creates.
• Effective: The unconstrained forecast that was used during the last cycle.
• User Override: The last override the user entered.

Demand override is allowed for a day with a recommendation status of Created. If the day is marked for upload, unmark the day to perform a demand override. For other statuses, set up a new transaction before performing a demand override.
