From both the Pace and Pickup tabs, you can select a custom date range. From the Pace tab only, you can compare the pace for the target date to a previous period or the same time last year. This helps you make informed pricing decisions.
The Compare feature is not available on the Pickup tab.
Change Target Date Range
To access the target date and comparison feature, click the date at the top of the page.
The Change Target Date Range box contains the target date selection (date range) and the comparison feature.
Date Range Options
To select a target date, select one of the options in the Date Range drop-down list, and then click the desired date in the calendar. You can set the date range to be for a specific day, a day of the week, a month, or an event type.
Specific Day
Selecting Specific Day allows you to analyze the booking curve for a specific target date. The date can be in the past or the future. To compare the selected date to the STLY, select Compare. Comparing the booking curves tells you how you are pacing for the target date to how you were pacing for the target date the STLY.
Day of Week
Day of Week allows you to analyze booking curves for a specific week, day of week, or a combination of days, including the following:
- All Days: All days of the week selected.
- Weekends: The days configured as weekends for the property and week selected.
- Weekdays: The days not configured as weekends for the property and week selected.
- Midweek: The days not configured as weekends or shoulder days for the property and week selected.
- Shoulder Days: The days configured as shoulder days for the property and week selected.
Day of Week can be compared to last year or to previous periods. Comparing the booking curves for the selected date range to last year allows you to see how you are pacing for the target date to how you were pacing to the target date last year. Comparing the booking curves for a specific date range to previous periods allows you to see how you are pacing for the target date selected to an average of the 10 previous periods, or you can view a previous individual period plotted on the graph.
In the following example, Day of Week and Weekends are selected. The week selected is highlighted in blue and target days are highlighted in purple. The as-of date is outlined in black.
Week start day and weekend day designation are configurable by property. In the previous example, the week start day is Sunday, and weekend is Friday/Saturday.
Month
When you select Month, the Pace page displays a cumulative booking curve for the month selected and allows you to compare the month to the same month last year.
Event Type
Event Type allows you to view or compare events of similar types that span the same number of days. You can select an event type and then select an event in the forecast horizon. This is then compared to all events of the same type before the as-of date. Comparison events can go back to the start of history for the property.
To display a booking curve for events:
- Select Event Type.
- In the first event list, select the event type. This list contains all event types that have events in the forecast horizon.
- In the second list, select an event. Only events that are included in the previously selected event type are displayed.
- To compare the event in the forecast horizon to the average of all previous similar events, select the Compare check box.
- Click Apply.
Compare
In addition to the date selections, you can view comparisons by selecting the Compare check box and then selecting a comparison option. This option is only available on select date ranges.
Last Year
Last Year compares a target to the same time last year adjusted for the day of week. This comparison is available for all date ranges except Event Type.
Previous Period
Previous Period compares the target to X number of previous periods (X is determined by Guestrev forecasting statistics). This comparison is available for Day of Week and Event Type.
Once you apply the target date parameters you've selected, the Previous Period data can be displayed on the graph one of two ways:
- Average: One line that is the average of the past X periods.
- Individual: One line for each of the X periods.
To switch between Average and Individual, click the button in the top-left of the page.
The dates used for comparison are displayed as gray in the target date range calendar.
Days Left
The Pace page allows you to select the days left on the X-axis of the booking curve. Days Left defaults to 116 days but allows you to select the following options:
- 15
- 30
- 60
- 75
- 90
- 105
- 116
Selecting a smaller number of Days Left provides a more detailed booking curve.

In the Change Target Date Range box, select Specific Day for the Date Range, tick the Compare check box and choose Specific DOA from the Compare drop-down list.
