On the frontend, users can select and apply filters to view only the menu items that meet their criteria.
To enable filters, you must indicate which menu items meet the filter criteria on the Add Menu Item form. But first, you must go to Settings > Menu Filters to configure which filters (i.e., dietary restrictions, common avoidances and tags) are available on the Add Menu Item form.
Select Menu Filters
Select the settings icon from the main navigation bar.
Then select the Menu Filters tab.
Dietary Restrictions
Check the Dietary Restrictions you want to appear on the Add Menu Item form.
Common Avoidances
Check the Common Avoidances you want to appear on the Add Menu Item form.
Tags
Select Add Tag to add tags to the Add Menu Item form. Click an existing tag's name to edit it. Select Delete to remove a tag. Click the arrows on the left to change the tags' order of appearance.

Here's an example of how the filters and tags appear on the Add Menu Item form:
Applied Filters in the Frontend View
When a user clicks on an icon underneath a menu item, the applied filters and tags appear in a pop-up box.
