Selecting any report from the main navigation at the top of the screen loads the Reports Parameter screen.

Select your desired parameters for the particular report you chose. Then select View Analysis to see your results.

Available Parameters

The parameters that are available are standard for most reports, although some vary depending on the report requirements. For example, only Pace reports have a field for As of Date and Pickup Start/Pickup End Dates is only found on Pickup reports.

Filters applied to a report will be listed under the report itself.

Hotel or Portfolio

If you have access to only one hotel, the only option available will be your hotel. If you have access to multiple properties you can toggle between your different hotels and run portfolio-level reports.

The green circle next to the property name indicates that last night’s data has been successfully uploaded into Revintel.

Business Unit

If you have more than one facet to your business, use the Business Unit field to analyze each facet independently or combined. For example, a property may offer standard hotel rooms as well as lodge and villa units. The property could analyze data for each type of unit (hotel, lodge or villa) separately or select All to analyze all the unit types combined.

Currency

To be consistent with your PMS, individual properties should run reports in local currencies, which is the default setting in Revintel. However, if you need to report in multiple currencies, you can have multiple currency conversions applied to the data. Additionally, you can set a preferred currency in User Settings.

Start & End Date

Date parameters are required prior to selecting many of the other parameters and to creating any report. To do so you can type in the dates (DD/MM/YYYY), use the Calendar icon or, where applicable, use one of the preset period ranges which can be found by clicking on the Q Button to the left of the Start Date.

As of Date

In addition to the Start/End Date, Pace reports in particular also have an As of Date. While the Start/End date defines the stay dates, the As of Date creates a snapshot view. It displays on-the-books information as of the file being received on the morning of the selected date.

Pickup Start Date & Pickup End Date

Particular only to Pickup reports, the Pickup Start/Pickup End Dates define the range of pickup. These dates pull on-the-books information as of the file being received the morning of the selected date. To view pickup from yesterday, select Yesterday for the Pickup Start Date and Today for the Pickup End Date. The report will display data as of yesterday’s snapshot, today’s snapshot, and the pickup will be the difference between the two.

Comparison Year

2020 has been an especially challenging year that has affected the travel industry in unprecedented ways, including the unavoidable temporary closure of some hotels. As we progress into 2021, comparing on-the-books data to a previous year other than 2020 will provide a more representative view of your hotel’s performance. In light of this situation, you can choose to compare current year data to data from one, two or three years back.

Days of the Week

Reports default to the full 7 days of the week. If, however, you would like to run a report for specific days, simply unclick the days you wish to exclude. Then click on the View Analysis button in the upper left hand corner of the Parameter grid.

Market

Reports initially default to use all market segments. To narrow the market segments included, select them from the market drop-down list.

Select the arrow next to any major segment to view and select minor market segments.

Channel

Filter by the various channels by which reservations are booked.

Select the arrow next to any major channel to view and select minor channels.

Source Market

Filter report data by geographical source. Select the arrows to view and select one or more global regions, continents or specific countries.

Room Product

Filter the report by room categories and/or individual room types.

Rate Code

Filter report data by one or more rate codes.

Company

Filter report data by a specific company or group of companies.

Agent

Filter report data by a specific agent or group of agents.

Booking Start & End Date
