Release Notes - April 29, 2021
We're pleased to share the newest enhancements coming to Cendyn CMS, which will add a whole new layer of convenience and personalization to our already power-packed CMS. Here are the highlights:
- Manage your blog and website content in one place.
- Customize the auto-triggered email notifications you receive from the CMS with your own branding.
- Enjoy tighter control of spam submitted via your website forms.
These enhancements will be deployed on May 3rd and 4th, 2021. Read on for details.
Blogs are in the House!
We’ve now made it convenient for you to create, manage and post blogs right from the Cendyn CMS, eliminating the need to access a separate application. You can also organize your blog posts in custom categories, archive posts, and easily feature posts throughout your website. And, of course, all the other CMS editing functionality you depend on is available to blog posts as well.
To get started, reach out to your Customer Experience Team to learn about the blog post templates and setup fees.
On Brand Email Notifications
Cendyn CMS sends auto-triggered emails to notify hotel admins when certain actions are taken on your website, such as a user submitting an RFP. You can now reach out to your Customer Experience Team to request that your unique branding is applied to those email notification templates.
New Spam Reduction Measures
Since bots have been getting past the reCAPTCHA tool on forms more frequently, we're adding a new layer of spam detection that will examine the quantity of data submitted in a form. If the data surpasses a threshold, the form is flagged as spam. We will continue to store these submissions but won't send the usual notifications for them.
