Access Central Reporting to generate reports covering all corners of NextGuest CRM. Central Reporting is accompanied by an extensive and detailed standard set of reports covering all modules of NextGuest CRM, including internal maintenance and track reports. Which report groups and reports you actually see depends on your access rights and on the modules you have purchased.
In this article:
- Sign into Central Reporting
- Navigate and select a report
- Generate and display the report
- Overview of CRM report filters in alphabetic order
Signing into Central Reporting
You can sign into Central Reporting via the NextGuest CRM Portal, by entering the web address directly, or via the App Launcher icon in the top navigation bar available from any of the NextGuest CRM applications.
- Sign into the NextGuest CRM portal.
- Select Central Reporting.
The system displays the Central Reporting start page and shows the reporting dashboard with information tiles on CRM details, such as the number e-mailable profiles, the number of profiles that have opted out, etc.
Hovering over a tile displays a description of the tile content. Click the green info on a tile to flip the tile over and display more detailed information.
Navigating and Selecting a Report
- Use the navigation on the left to browse through the individual reporting groups and to locate the report you require.
The system opens the report group and displays available reports. If there are many pre-defined reports per main group, they are grouped further into subgroups, for instance under CRM Reports.
-
You can distinguish subgroups from reports by the arrow sign on the right of the group name. If you move the mouse cursor over the subgroup you want to select, the system shows you all the reports that are grouped there.
-
Select the required report name to open the report filters for the selected report.
Generating a Report
- Select the required report name to open the report filters for the selected report.
Report filters vary slightly depending on the focus of the report, and range from a selection of date ranges, hotels, geographic or demographic filters, such as city, zip code, age and gender to revenue and room night queries.
In our example, we are generating the CRM Production Report Guest Classification.
In our example, we are filtering for females as of 35 years of age with an Interest in Wellness and Spa who have had a stay at one of the hotels in the chain since 1 October 2019 (use Min Last Stay field). - Once you have filtered the report to your requirements, select the Export as Excel option from the top.
The system generates the report, which may take a moment, especially when revenue and stay criteria are involved.
Depending on your browser settings, the system opens the report in Excel or asks you whether to open the file directly or save it first.
This report displays in Excel. Here is an excerpt of the report. We have anonymized personally identifiable information and have hidden some columns without data. - If you do not exactly receive the result you expected from your query, you can go back to the report, select Reset Parameters, change the filters, and generate the report again. This way you can compare the reports resulting from various filter settings or generate different reports at the same time.
The below table shows typical report filters available with CRM reports.
