With B2B Sales you can link accounts hierarchically and so determine master accounts, parent accounts and sub accounts. This allows you to deal with and manage individual subsidiaries or branch offices while at the same time drawing a clear picture of the company hierarchy and revenue.
In B2B Sales we distinguish between
- Master accounts/master agents – this is the highest account in the corporate hierarchy. You can link unlimited levels of sub accounts to a master, but there can only be one master for each corporation. In the list of accounts, you can easily distinguish master accounts, since they are marked in bold.
- Parent accounts/parent agents – parent accounts are branch offices or subsidiaries that are linked to a master account that have further sub accounts linked to them. B2B Sales allows for unlimited levels of parent accounts.
- Sub accounts/sub agents – sub accounts are branch offices or subsidiaries linked to a master account or parent account. They form the base level in the corporate hierarchy. If you link a sub account to another sub account, creating a new level, the former sub account turns into a parent account.
Here is a graphical example of the possible account structure of a big corporation.
For each account, you enter the same information. Only their level in the corporate structure varies. You can view and access all accounts (master, parents, and subs) individually from the list of accounts. In addition, from each master account or parent account you can view and assign “the next level down” by clicking the Sub Accounts tab.
You can build the same hierarchical structure for travel agent accounts. From the travel agent detail the corresponding tab is called Sub Agents.
For account details of sub accounts B2B Sales displays the respective parent or master account(s) as a hyperlink in the top-right corner of the account detail. For instance:
This allows you to quickly jump from sub accounts to the respective master accounts.
To jump to the master or parent account, in our example Serenata IntraWare, simply click the Folder symbol.
B2B Sales displays the master account (see below).
B2B Sales displays up to two hierarchical levels for master, parent and sub account associations. Here is an example:
