Using the Profiles to match option in Guest Experience Manager, you can list and match PMS guest profiles to central profiles, when the automatic matching routing was unable to make a secure match. This task should be part of your daily routine to ensure good profile quality.
For an overview of the automatic matching process and how a PMS profile becomes the central profile, click here.
Note: In order to account for the revenues and stays collected and uploaded from your linked hotels, it is indispensable that you check unmatched PMS profiles on a regular basis and try to find matching central profiles to which you can assign them. If you cannot find a match, you may consider promoting the PMS profile to a central profile.
Profiles to match
- From any of the Guest Experience Manager pages, select Profiles to match in the navigation on the left. In our example screenshot, you can see that there are three profiles to check for possible matches.
The list with matching candidates displays. - Select one of the candidates by clicking into the respective row. The system displays the guest profile on the left and one or more review candidates on the right.
Left side PMS profile information: On the left side, you see the details of the selected PMS profile. For a description of the fields displayed, see the table below.
Right windowpane central profile information: On the right side, you see potential matching central profile candidates from the central database. These candidates have been found by the automatic matching routine. Please note that there may be more than one candidate.
-
Compare the two sides and based on the displayed information, decide whether the profiles match or not. If they do, click the Link to <guestname> option.
If you confirm that you want to link, the PMS profile is assigned to the selected central profile. The system forms a permanent link between the PMS profile and the central profile and removes the PMS profile from the match candidates table. - If the PMS Profile offers more details information than the central profile, you can easily copy those information after linking:
Copying information from PMS Profile to Central Profile
After you've linked the PMS Profile to the Central Profile, you see on the very bottom of the side the following option screen:
Click on Show Profile Harvesting and a screen appears where the central profile is shown on the left and all linked PMS profiles are shown on the right. Choose the information which you want to copy from right (PMS profile) to left (Central Profile) and click SAVE.
