We’re excited to announce an important update to Guestrev, part of the Cendyn Revenue Cloud. Tomorrow we’re launching a new parameter called Comparison Year to give you more flexibility and greater insight into your metrics to better aid you in maximizing your total profit optimization.
Comparison Year
2020 was an exceptionally challenging year that affected the travel industry in unprecedented ways, including the unavoidable temporary closure of some hotels. As such, comparing on-the-books data to a previous year other than 2020 will provide a more representative view of your hotel’s performance and projections. To make this possible, we developed Comparison Year, a new report parameter which allows you to compare current year data to data from one, two or three years back in pace metrics and month/year end metrics, where applicable.
In the Day View, you'll also be able to compare a specific date to one, two or three years back. This will enable you to compare one specific high demand date to another. For example, you could compare a special event to special event, such as 'Annual Music Festival 2021' vs. 'Annual Music Festival 2019' or a holiday to holiday, such as 'Easter 2021' vs. 'Easter 2019.'
