SUMMARY: When updating a transactional campaign in Scheduled Active status, ensure it returns to the same schedule and status post-update. Access eInsight, navigate to Campaigns Manage, and select Transactional. Locate and deactivate the campaign, edit the template, and save changes. Validate all links and images, request a test email, then send for approval. Use a previously taken screenshot to recreate the original schedule. When making updates to a transactional campaign that is currently in Scheduled Active status, it is important to return it back to the same schedule and status after changes have been made to ensure that it continues to send as intended.
Schedule a Transactional
Log into eInsight, then navigate to Campaigns > Manage then change the dropdown option to Transactional.
Locate the campaign that needs to be updated.
Click on 🟢Scheduled Active⮟ and take a screenshot of the current schedule. Save it for when you're ready to reschedule.
Select deactivate to deactivate campaign. Select edit to get to the template.
Make updates and then select save & continue.
Run and review Basic Validation to confirm all links and images within the campaign are not broken.
Request a test email to confirm campaign and then select Send for Approval.
Approve the campaign, and click Save and Continue to proceed to the Schedule tab.
- The screenshot taken earlier will enable you to recreate the schedule that the campaign previously had.
- Generally speaking, transactional schedules follow these rules:
- For Confirmation, Change (Modification), Cancellation, Check-In, and Check-Out campaigns:
- For Pre-Arrival and Post-Departure campaigns (pre-stay/post-stay):
- For campaigns that do not fall into the 2 categories above, reach out to your account manager or Submit a New Support Request for assistance from the support team.
