The Forms module is a tool that helps you create and manage forms for your website to capture guest data. It includes a variety of user-friendly features to create easy-to-use forms, view submissions, and track data. Some examples of forms you can create include contact us forms, wedding or event inquiry forms, and neighborhood perk enrollment forms.
Create a New Form
- Select the Forms module from the dashboard. Then select Create Form.
- Enter a name for the Form Title. Then select Add Field.
- The available form fields are organized into three categories: Predefined, Custom, and Utility. Select the applicable category to view the fields in that category. Select the arrow icon next to a field name to move that field from the left column into the right column. Click Add Selected at the bottom of the view after desired fields have been selected.
- Once added, the selected form elements can be arranged by dragging and dropping, or edited by selecting the cog icon. To remove an element, simply select the garbage can icon.
- Created forms can be implemented on your site using the Page Manager module.
Salesforce Form Integration
The Salesforce integration API lets you connect fields in the CMS to Salesforce fields. This allows data submitted in Forms to flow directly to Salesforce, saving you time and effort as well as helping to improve the accuracy of the data.
- To begin, Salesforce must be enabled and the Salesforce API information must be obtained. To do this, navigate to the Forms module and select Settings.
- Select the Salesforce tab and toggle Enable Salesforce Integration to On. Enter the Salesforce API URL, Consumer Key, and Consumer Secret and select Save.
- Once enabled, there will be an additional field labeled with (SF) on the Field Name tab when editing a form item. This is where the Salesforce field name should be entered.
When a form is submitted, you'll receive confirmation that the data was submitted to Salesforce. If there's an error in the submission, the data will be saved in the CMS.
Note
The Salesforce API URL, Consumer Key, Consumer Secret, and field mapping information will vary and should be provided by your Salesforce representative.
