The CRS allows you to add and manage different types of rate plan, as well as rate plan tags. These tags can then be used to apply bulk changes to your yield controls.
See below the description of rate plan types in Cendyn CRS:
Best Available Rate (BAR)
This is the master rate plan for a hotel which holds the base inventory. BAR gets generated automatically when a property is added to the CRS. Pricing and inventory must be loaded in order for floating rates to be synced with it.
Floating Rate Plans
These rate plans are derived from BAR (or other fixed rates). The calculation can be one of the following:
- Flat amount or Percentage off parent rate
- Flat amount or Percentage add to the parent rate
Every time you make a price change to the parent rate, the floating rate plan will automatically change based on the pre-defined float value.
Floating rate plans can have their own fixed inventory or take inventory off the BAR.
Fixed Rate Plans
Fixed rate plans, also referred to as standalone rates, are fixed and do not float rates off the BAR. If you need to change their values, you must do so individually for each plan.
Fixed rate plans can take the inventory from the BAR or have their own fixed inventory.
