The About the Property menu allows you to add or edit detailed information about the property, to be displayed on GDS channels. Apart from basic information about your property, this menu allows you to include details about meeting rooms and dining options available at your property.

You can also provide location-specific information, such as the nearest airport and nearby attractions in the vicinity of the property.

These additional details increase the visibility of your property and increase the chances of your property showing up during searches conducted by travel agents based on a range of criteria.

This page is activated only for the GDS-enabled properties.

Navigate to Property Management > About the Property

 

• Enter the year in which the property was built and/or renovated in the Year Built and the Year Renovated fields respectively
• Select the Property Type, Segment, and Location from the drop-down list

• Select the checkbox to indicate if the property is ADA Compliance. This checkpoint is applicable only for hotels in USA
• Check the Pets Allowed checkbox if pets are allowed on the property
• Check the checkbox if the property meets the US Fire Safety Compliance (for U.S properties only)
• Click Save to validate your entries

 

Note
You must include a primary airport and at least one city attraction.

Adding a Meeting Room

• Click on Add a Room

 

• Enter the Room Name and the Code for the room
• Select the Type of the room from the drop-down list
• Enter a Description about the room

• Select the Services from the drop-down list. Then, make a selection based on the chosen options selected
• Enter the Capacity for the number of people that the meeting room can accommodate.
• Select the Unit of measurement from the drop-down list.
• Enter the Length, Width, Height and the total Area of the room.
• Click Save to validate your entries

 

Add a Dining Room

• Click on Add location

• Enter the Restaurant Name and the Code for the restaurant.
• Select the Proximity and the Cuisine from the drop-down list.
• Enter the restaurant Description 

• Enter the Address and the City where the restaurant is located.
• Select the Country from the drop-down list and enter the Zip Code (post code).
• The Distance Away field is populated with information about the distance of the restaurant from the property. To calculate the distance between them, select the unit of measurement as kilometer or miles from the drop-down list and click on Calculate.
• Click on Save to validate your entries

Add Nearby Airport Information

The information about nearby airports is mandatory. 

• Click on  Add Location. 

• Enter the Airport Name and the Code for the airport
• Enter the airport website URL 
• Enter the airport Description

• Enter the airport Address and City 
• Select the Country from the drop-down list and enter the Zip Code (post code)
• The Distance Away field is populated with information about the distance of the airport from the property. To calculate the distance between them, select the unit of measurement as kilometer or miles from the drop-down list and click on Calculate.
• Select the Transportation Method available for traveling to and from the property from the drop-down list.
• Click on  Save to validate your entries

Add Nearby Attractions Information

At least one city centre must be added as an attraction type. 

• Click on Add Location

• Enter the Attraction Name and Code 
• Select an attraction Type from the drop-down list.
• Enter the attraction website URL 
• Add the Description 

• Enter the attraction Address  and City 
• Select the Country from the drop-down list and enter the Zip Code post code).
• The Distance Away field is populated with information about the distance of the attraction from the property. To calculate the distance between them, select the unit of measurement as kilometer or miles from the drop-down list and click on Calculate.
• Select the Transportation Method to and from the property from the drop-down list.
• Click on Save to validate your entries

 

 

To delete any of these listings, select the corresponding checkbox, and click on Delete.
