The Property Defaults menu allows a user to set up default values for a property. This is usually configured during the implementation phase.
Navigate to: Property Management > Property Defaults
- Property Name & Property Code are for display purposes. These fields can only be changed by Superuser.

Select the applicable Star Rating from the drop-down list
- Select Yes to make it mandatory to enter the 3-digit security code, when making a credit card payment
- Always set Disable Property email Notifications to Yes for new, modification and cancellation notification emails to be sent out
- The CRS sends notifications to the customer on behalf of the property. Set Disable guest email notification to No to send notifications to customers by email.
- Always enable 2-factor authentication
Two-Factor Authentication (2FA): An extra layer of security rules to protect from unauthorized user login to admin.
- Adult Age is the minimum age beyond which a customer is considered an adult
- Set Allow Children in Search Criteria to No for adult exclusive properties
- Enter the number of adults to be displayed by default on the Booking Engine
- Select the default cancellation policy to use when none is defined for a rate plan
- Always enter the lowest room pricing in the Minimum Price Alert For Room field. This protects against rate loading errors
Policies must first be created in the Policies menu
- Default Currency shows the default display on the BE
- Currencies shows which other currencies rates can be displayed in. CRTL-click to select multiple
Currency is for display purposes only and reservations are always confirmed in the property's currency. Confirmation emails show the total cost in the guest's local currency, along with the hotel's default.
- Define if displayed rooms on the BE should include or exclude taxes
- Choose if the Add-On pricing should show as inclusive of tax
- Choose if the room rates should show for the total visit or per night on the BE
- If Round up Price is selected, it will only apply to the final price, after a discount rule has been applied
- Select the Default Date Format used in the CRS and BE
- Define the Max Number of rooms that an be booked in one transaction
- The Check-In and Check-Out Times are in local time zone and are used to define the cancellation window of cancellation policies
- Enable IATA Code Tracking defines if travel agents can make reservations on the BE
An 8-alphanumeric code used exclusively by travel agents for booking tracking purposes. Travel agents can receive booking commissions by the IATA code.
- Daily Rate Display is an useful BE setting, when a stay has different daily room rates

- If a property wishes to enforce a minimum LOS based on the first day of their stay, Arrive Date Only must be selected
- Stay through applies an LOS restriction on any day of the stay
- Length of Stay restrictions can be applied on the Rate Grid. Select Yes to enable this functionality
- Hide Rate Plans from Rategrid offers the flexibility to display specific rates on the Rate Grid
- If Formula Based Pricing is Enabled, the property has the option to Slash through pricing for FBR rates

- When Enable Rate Calendar is selected, the BE starting page will open in a calendar view
- Select the default rate to be displayed on the calendar
- Select Yes if the 0 can be entered as a room rate in the Rate Grid
- Select whether rooms should be ordered by pricing or by type
